History of Precise Metal Production \u2013 Precision Metal Parts<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Precise Metal Production GmbH & Co KG<\/strong> was originally founded on 1 January 1986<\/strong> by Hubert Gissler in Zell-Unterharmersbach in rented premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soon, the premises became too small, which led to the construction of a dedicated production hall with an office wing (totaling 900 sqm) in the industrial area Steinenfeld in Zell am Harmersbach. In the following years, the production area was expanded with a second hall of 580 sqm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company\u2019s reputation as a specialist in CNC turning, milling, and grinding steadily grew both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In November 2011<\/strong>, a third production hall with an office wing for work preparation, quality assurance, and production management was completed, totaling 1,290 sqm. The office wing includes a fully air-conditioned measuring room with a vibration-free floor. At the same time, two lathes\u2014MORI SEIKI NL2500SY\/700 and MAZAK QT Smart 350\u2014were added to the machine park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of 2014<\/strong>, the company entered the field of gear hobbing with the corresponding production and measurement technology: external\/involute gearing (hobbing, up to module 6) as well as spur\/Hirth gearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2014<\/strong> and beginning of 2015<\/strong>, the machine park was expanded with highly efficient multi-axis turning centers MORI SEIKI NZX 2000\/800SY and MORI SEIKI NZ2000 T2Y, each with two turrets and a Y-axis, for high-precision machining of complex workpieces at maximum productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective 1 October 2015<\/strong>, three operational managers became shareholders in addition to Hubert Gissler: Managing Director Christian Wordl (34%), Production Manager Karl-Heinz Spitzer (8.5%), and QA Manager Armin Leopold (8.5%). The additional capital contributions were used exclusively to increase the company\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of 2016<\/strong>, a high-precision MORI SEIKI NLX2500SY\/700 lathe with a turret and Y-axis was added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In mid-2016<\/strong>, the company entered the field of laser marking with the GRAVOTECH TF420 fiber laser station and subsequently expanded the machine park with two high-precision MORI SEIKI NL2500SY\/700 lathes with turret and Y-axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2017<\/strong>, a new high-precision MORI SEIKI NLX2500SY\/700 lathe with a turret, Y-axis, and robot interface was added.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At the end of 2018<\/strong> and beginning of 2019<\/strong>, a new high-precision lathe MORI SEIKI NLX2500SY\/700 with a turret and Y-axis, as well as a MORI SEIKI NL2000\/500, were added again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 2 January 2020<\/strong>, Managing Partner Christian Wordl additionally took over the 49% company shares of the previous main shareholder Hubert Gissler, thus holding 83% of the company. The remaining 17% continued to be equally divided between operational shareholders Armin Leopold (Quality Manager) and Karl-Heinz Spitzer (Purchasing Manager). Hubert Gissler, who had not been operationally active since mid-2013, remains the lessor of the three production halls including the office building under a 20-year lease agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May 2020<\/strong>, the machine park was expanded with a Kellenberger cylindrical grinding machine KEL-VISTA UR 175-1000 (as good as new) and the measuring room with a form and position measuring device MITUTOYO Roundtest RA2200AH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective 18 June 2020<\/strong>, QA and HR Manager Armin Leopold took over Karl-Heinz Spitzer\u2019s company shares in full, holding 17% of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August 2020<\/strong>, a new EMAG VL 4 turning center with FANUC control and integrated pick-up automation was added for productive production of chucked parts up to 200 mm in diameter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 2020<\/strong>, a multifunctional Tool Management System from G\u00dcHRING for tools and measuring equipment was installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In mid-November 2020<\/strong>, a new MORI SEIKI NLX1500SY\/500 high-speed lathe with turret and Y-axis for smaller diameters and a new MORI SEIKI NTX1000SZM high-precision milling\/turning center with a 76-station tool magazine and 12-station turret were added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From January 2021<\/strong>, the company operates under the legally effective name Precise Metal Production GmbH & Co. KG (instead of GISSLERprecision GmbH & Co. KG). Three operational managers remain shareholders: Managing Partner Christian Wordl (58%), Production Manager Benjamin Hermann (30%), and QA\/HR Manager Armin Leopold (12%). Additional capital contributions were used exclusively to increase company capital.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In March 2021<\/strong>, a high-precision MORI SEIKI NLX2500SY\/700 lathe with turret and Y-axis was added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2021<\/strong>, a highly efficient MORI SEIKI NZX 2000\/800SY multi-axis turning center with two turrets and a Y-axis was added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January 2023<\/strong>, a new high-precision MORI SEIKI NLX2500SY\/700 lathe with a 20-position turret, Y-axis, 100 mm bar capacity, more powerful drive motors, direct path measuring on all 3 axes, and robot interface was added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July 2023<\/strong>, another high-precision MORI SEIKI NLX2500SY\/700 lathe with 20-position turret, Y-axis, 100 mm bar capacity, and robot interface was added, complemented by a GILDEMEISTER Robo2Go flexible loading\/unloading system integrated into CELOS\u00ae. This is PMP\u2019s first plug & produce robot automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effective 1 August 2023<\/strong>, Production Manager and authorized signatory Benjamin Hermann took over Armin Leopold\u2019s company shares in full, now holding 42% of the company, and became Managing Partner alongside Christian Wordl (58%).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of August 2023,<\/strong> the new detailed planning tool etagis APS Professional was introduced. With etagis APS Professional, production order processing is optimized through detailed planning against limited capacity. Manufacturing processes are realistically mapped, making the enormous amounts of data, dependencies, and restrictions in production manageable. Production capacity utilization is monitored, and material and capacity bottlenecks are detected at an early stage. The system enables transparent, forward-looking planning as well as graphical simulation of different scenarios and resource optimization. Through interactive production planning and control, PMP\u2019s customers receive even more reliable information on completion dates and delivery capability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 2023<\/strong>, another GILDEMEISTER Robo2Go flexible workpiece loading and unloading system was added. The corresponding robot control is fully integrated into the machine\u2019s app-based CELOS\u00ae control system. This is PMP\u2019s second Plug & Produce robot automation, and the robot can also be used flexibly on other machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of October 2023<\/strong>, a new high-precision MORI SEIKI NLX2000\/500 lathe with a 20-position turret and DMG MORI GX-05 gantry loader automation system was added to the machine park. This is the first gantry loader system for highly productive and flexible workpiece handling at PMP. Programming and setup are integrated via the CELOS\u00ae machine control system, and loader status monitoring is handled via DMG MORI Messenger.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

At the end of November 2023<\/strong>, a new high-precision Mitutoyo STRATO-Apex 7106 3D coordinate measuring machine with an accuracy class of 0.7 \u00b5m was put into operation. In the fully air-conditioned measuring room, this complements the existing Mitutoyo CRYSTA-Apex S 7106 (accuracy 1.7 \u00b5m), the contour measuring station, and the high-precision Mitutoyo Roundtest RA-2200AH form\/position measuring device (accuracy 0.5 \u00b5m). The CNC 3D coordinate measuring machine enables highly accurate measurements at high speeds, expanding possibilities for even more precise metal processing while significantly increasing production throughput.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In December 2023<\/strong>, the 3rd Robo2Go loading and unloading robot was put into operation. This multifunctional DMG MORI AUTOMATION robot is stationed on a MORI SEIKI NZX2000\/800SY and is fully integrated into the machine\u2019s CELOS\u00ae control system. It can also be flexibly used on other CNC machines with CELOS\u00ae control; nine corresponding MORI SEIKI machines are currently in operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2024<\/strong>, three STUDER cylindrical grinding machines were installed in the grinding area: S33_1045 CNC, S30-1, and S-20 Favorit. Another new CNC universal cylindrical grinding machine, S33_1045 with rotating dressing spindle, pneumatic power chuck, synchronous tailstock, app-based C.O.R.E. control, and active cooler for spindle and coolant, has been ordered and will be delivered in April 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June 2024<\/strong>, a new highly productive GILDEMEISTER SPRINT 42 linear CNC automatic lathe with 8 axes, linear drive, and 26 tool stations was put into operation, combined with a 3.2 m IEMCA Boss 552\/32 bar loader. Its thermo-symmetrical design and integrated position measuring system ensure maximum precision, while the special ball guides guarantee constant rigidity. The machine is controlled via a FANUC 310i panel with SLIMline interface and 15\u2033 monitor, along with sister tool management and tool wear monitoring using Tool Monitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through these continuous investments, PMP remains at the cutting edge of technology and is well-prepared to meet future challenges in the field of demanding precision metal parts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
